IMG_8002We are continuing along nicely with our X-Men Apocalypse War Marvel Event of the year and we are going back to Extraordinary X-Men this time around for issue number nine, but let’s take a quick look back at what happened with eight. The last time we saw this crew, they found the arc which contained the 600 embryos, but the only problem is that they are in a future world and they are confronted by the horseman of the Apocalypse. In this next issue (Extraordinary X-Men #9), Colossus stays behind and tells the others to go and protect the arc and that he would find them when he needed to. The only problem for them is that they head on a journey that threatens death and other things while discovering what has happened to their world while they are there. IMG_8005I definitely like where they headed with this issue because they explain the world that they are currently nicely and if you follow along you figure out what has happened to certain kinds and people. The only thing that doesn’t make sense to me is how they ended up where they were at the end of the issue. I am not going to spoil it for you guys, but the issue definitely improved from the last one. I am only hoping that they will explain what happened to Deadpool and why is he a horseman? Other than that, I like how the story is progressing, but I am trying to figure out how they all tie in together still. The artwork is pretty good, I still have an issue with how some of them look, but I’ll get over it. The panels are super easy to read and follow along with. This issue packs a lot in it as far as characters so definitely check this one out. Check out my grades below:

Story/Plot: A+
