We are continuing our Women’s History Month here on 365 Comics and we are going back to the DC Universe to check out the next issue of everyone’s favorite crazy hellraiser in Harley Quinn #2. In the last issue, we find out that the reason people are turning into Zombies is because an Alien landed on Earth and tried to disguise himself as a cow. Well, he was led to the butcher shop and turned into hot dogs for all his trouble and now because of that people are being turned to zombies. Meanwhile, Red Tool got his arm cut off by Harley because she thought the virus would spread, but she used her catapult to launch him to the hospital and there is one problem. He passed out from the blood loss and can’t pull the shoot. Now Harley and everyone else has to figure out if the virus is spread through the bite or not, but she needs samples in order to figure that out for herself, but that puts her and her team in a tricky predicament. I just wanted to mention this only because I am a metal head at heart and there is a very cool reference to fallen heroes like Dio, Lemmy Kilmister, and so many more in this issue. I truly appreciate that and am not sure of the two writers who to thank for that one. I am definitely still liking where the writers are definitely taking this story as this issue is action packed as it can possibly be. I am curious to see if any other aliens come down to Earth to figure out what happened to the other one. I am obviously wondering about the Poison Ivy factor here and you’ll have to see for yourselves if there’s anything further on that. The artwork is still impressing me like it did before because some of them are more defined and more life like than comic book looking characters. If you’re a traditionalist and old school then you may not like it. The panels of course are super easy to follow along with so what are you waiting for? Check out Harley Quinn #2 right now. Check out my grades below:
Character Representation: A+
Entertainment Value: A+
