spider-gwen variant 8We are moving right along very smoothly with our Women’s History Month and we are also moving along our Spider-Women Crossover event with the next issue in the series. We are checking out the next issue in the story line which brings us back to Miss Gwen Stacy a.k.a. Spider-Gwen in Spider-Gwen #8. Before we can do that though, we have to look back at what has already happened leading up to this. In the events leading up to this, we find out that Silk’s evil Doppelganger had Spider-Woman’s Doppelganger steal the remote so that she could go to Earth-616. Meanwhile, Jessica may have cramped Jesse Drew’s style on Earth-65, but she doesn’t care because Earth-65 Reed Richards has helped her get back to Earth-616. In this issue, Cindy and Gwen go undercover to discover that Evil Silk has done some real damage on Earth to the point that J. Jonah Jameson is now an enemy of Silk. The only thing left to do is to confront the evil Silk, but she may just be too much for the girls. To read more about the issue and anything else from Marvel, please click here to go to Marvel.

spidergwen 8If there was ever an issue to grab and read for action, suspense, and thrills then this is the issue for you because this is the best issue of the bunch. The confrontation between Spider-Gwen, Silk, and the evil Silk was epic in that it sets up the dilemma for the rest of the series. Jason Latour has also become one of my favorite comic book writers in the universe because he brings the goods each and every time. It’s that amazing story of how am I going to clear my name from all the damage she has done and just who am I. It also sets up a great conflict for Spider-Gwen who can be very critical at times of Cindy. The artwork is awesome as usual and combine that with the great writing and you have a dynamite issue. The panels are easy to read and follow along with so you shouldn’t have an issue there. Definitely give this series a look or else you’ll regret it. Check out my grades below:
