silk 8We are moving right along very smoothly with our Women’s History Month and we are also moving along our Spider-Women Crossover event with the next issue in the series. We are checking out the next issue in the story line which brings us back to Cindy Moon a.k.a Silk for what should be a power packed issue for Silk #8. Before we can do that though, we have to look back at what has already happened leading up to this. In the last issue, Spider-Gwen and Silk confronted the evil Silk only to find out that she has been stealing stuff from the Avengers as she defeats the both of them. Most importantly though, we find out that she is responsible for Spider-Gwen gaining her powers because it was all apart of the plan. In this issue, the two of them are arrested by Mockingbird because after all it does look like Silk has committed the crimes. The only problem is that Silk now has a dilemma when Black Cat arrives to save the day, but she also wants answers from Silk. silk8As I have said before, the last issue was one power packed issue that revealed so much to us especially fans of Spider-Gwen like myself. That was definitely going to be an issue that was hard to follow up, but I think they did a pretty good job handling it with the amount of drama that is in this issue that will set up the rest of the event. Silk is definitely faced with a dilemma which is a classic set up point and kudos to all the authors for a job well done. Thompson does a good job of giving us some action int he comic to go along with that huge set up situation with Black Cat that could change the face of what is to come. I am seriously trying not to give too much away to you guys, but if you haven’t started reading these yet, then I don’t know what is wrong with you. The artwork is awesome as usual and the panels are easy to read and follow along with. Check out this issue and check out my grades below as well.

Grades:
