Venomized_Vol_1_1Compared to the amount of comics that I bought last week, this week’s New Comic Book Day was easy on the pockets. Unfortunately of all the comics that I purchased I am not 100% caught up to present them for today, but I do have one comic for you that I am just going to go ahead and do. A little while ago Marvel held the Edge Of Venomverse, Venomverse, and the Poison X storyline of Venom that all ties together to this final conclusion of Venomized which we have the first issue for all of you today. The comic was written by Cullen Bunn (The Tick 2017) and illustrated by Iban Coello (Deadpool) and up to this point, The Poisons who are a race that hungers for symbiotes and superhumans that they can attach them to are on their way to Earth and meanwhile Venom and Co. are just trying to get back to Earth. In this issue, the Poisons are strategically locating all mutants and superhumans and they are ambushing them with weapons that turn them into hosts. What will the rest of Earth do and what remaining superhumans are left and what symbiote are they looking for?

g99k5QAgI really have to catch up on this and to be perfectly honest I didn’t want to cover this yet, but I always promised to give you the catch of the day on NCBD. I was going into this comic not know what was going on previously and that is not the right thing to do ever when getting into an event. Now as far as the story in this one is concerned, this is definitely the issue that sets everything up for what is to follow. It also definitely features some star power as far as the appearances of all these different heroes. The real star of the comic though goes to good ol’ Spider-Man who shines as he tries to deal with the fact that he is once again black suit Spider-Man. They are building something up involving one of my favorite symbiotes and I love how they are doing it. I am not going to give away who it is or what they are doing, but I hope it’s a success. The artwork is absolutely awesome and why shouldn’t it be with Marvel Coello doing the artwork. I definitely suggest you do some research on the events leading up to this because you don’t want to go in blind. Check out my grades below:

Story/Plot: A+

Artwork: A+

Character Representation: A+

Entertainment Value: A+
