Domino_Vol_3_2In less than one week, the movie event we have been waiting for is going to be released and I am definitely excited for Deadpool 2. There was always talk of them doing a film with Cable and an X-Force film so the fact that we are getting both of those in one film is definitely exciting including the film debut of Domino. That is why for today, we are checking out the next issue in Domino‘s new miniseries. David Baldeon (X-Men Legacy: Back To School) returns to illustrate issue 2 and Gail Simone (Legend Of Red Sonja) returns to write. In the first issue, we saw that Domino was set up during one of her missions and that has been bothering her. Then during her birthday party, she is paid a visit by a mysterious man and his most deadly henchwoman in Topaz. When we last leave her, she has been pushed out the window and her power of luck is not working. In this issue, Topaz is ordered to give Domino’s power back to her and Spider-Man comes out of nowhere to make the save. Domino is shook by the fact that her power can be taken away from her in the blink of an eye, but she has to bounce back and try to figure out who is the mole in her group that set her up?

DOMINO-3In my review of the last issue, I thought that the comic was going to take a John Wick turn and I think I may have been wrong about that. I am actually glad that I was wrong because I like the direction the comic is heading in and it left us on quite the cliffhanger in this issue as it did in the last. It’s definitely playing out to be a tale of who in the hell is this mysterious guy with Topaz and what does he truly want with Domino? The other question is that if Topaz can alter your superpower then how in the heck do you defeat someone like that? I am pretty sure that all my questions will be answered soon, but this really is a pretty solid comic book because it feels like we are really getting to know her. I love the artwork in this comic, but man Domino has really big feet. My only complaint of the comic was that I didn’t like the look of Amadeus Cho when he wasn’t the Hulk, but this is a very minor complaint because I love the comic. There’s plenty of twists and turns and you have to love a comic that also includes some Deadpool and some of the other Mercs right in it. Check out my grades below:

Story/Plot: A+

Artwork: A+

Character Representation: A+

Entertainment Value: A+
