dollman killsThis week there is a reason to be completely excited besides the fact that we are now in the month of August which means summer is drawing to an end (which is sad if you ask me). This week’s NCBD (New Comic Book Day) featured some really amazing releases that I am so excited to be sharing them all with you guys. It is these types of weeks that keep me going in this competition and I have a special one for you guys today. For those of you who do not know who Full Moon Features is, they are a horror based studio that produced some of the more whackier side of horror films. For example, they released great titles like Puppet Master, Trancers, Killjoy, Gingerdead Man, Demonic Toys, and Dollman to name a few.  That is why when I saw Dollman Kills The Full Moon Universe #1 on the shelves, I grabbed it and now I am presenting it to you guys. The comic features stories with the first one entitled Out Of The Box (written by Shawn Gabborin, art by Daniel Pascual) which is a story of what happens when dumb kids ready to sell their souls summon the Demonic Toys. The second story Familicide (written by Brockton McKinney, art by Bridget Connell) is the story of a Brick Bardo and his encounter with the Head of the Family.

Dollman3This is definitely one interesting comic book, but it’s also a very bad ass one that did not disappoint me at all. The stories in the comic had a nice flow to them and they didn’t waste any time getting right down to the nitty gritty. There was plenty of action that kept you glued to the page and that is all you can really ask for is to keep my attention. They did just that and I commend them for that because too many comics these days bore you with too much details. You understand right from the start what exactly is going on in the first story and certainly with the second story as well. The art work was done very well and it’s weird for me to say this, but it has a very Full Moon look to it if that makes any sense at all for you guys. I am definitely excited for what is to come and for Brick Bardo is going to go after next. It plays out like an episode of a horror TV show so I already am dying to see what’s going to come in 30 days. Check it out for yourselves if you are horror fans and check out my grades below:
